Yann Guyader
After Massimiliano Presti, Yann Guyader took over the lead in the World Championships in inline speed skating. He won this championship 5 times, became 1 time second and 1 time third.
This French inline speed skater, born in 1984 in Nantes, joined at the age 8 years the skating club Pasta Nantes which was created by his grandfather. After 2000 he started to participate in internationally. This process was interrupted by a serious accident in 2003 in the marathon of Sankt Moritz. He broke some bones in his foot and needed an operation to move again in a normal way
Soon he won again many races in Europe but his best period in the world championshios was between 2008 and 2014. I this period he was each year world champion except two years. In 2009 he became second and in 2011 he became third.
In 2009 he decided not to participate in marathons anymore and stopped with the participation in championships. Nevertheless, he still finished second after the Colombian Diego Rosero. The later years till 2014 he won all world championships except in 2011.

When he finished his active speed skating career, he became a manager of the roller skate company Rolleblade.
